I have been involved in athletics since early childhood and have been working in the fields of fitness, coaching and helping develop people’s potential my entire professional career. From my experience in team and individual sports as well as in business, I have learned what it takes mentally, physically and spiritually to succeed and what doesn’t contribute to this end through my own successes and many, many mistakes. These experiences have equipped me with a sense of empathy for others, an understanding of the challenges and struggles many face in these arenas, and a keen ability to help people identify and trouble shoot their personal performance limiters and develop effective strategies to over come them.
My goal in coaching is to help people get in touch with what they really want, discover what might be standing in the way of them attaining their goals and to equip them with the tools necessary for obtaining them and creating the experience they desire.
Through my own evolution as a human being, an athlete, a businessman, an educator and a coach, it has become very clear to me that to experience true success and the ability to enjoy the process of getting there, an integrated, holistic approach that addresses not only the physical, but the mental, social and spiritual aspects of our lives is required. Whether it is in athletics, business or our personal lives, focusing on only one of these aspects often leads to sub-optimal results, leaving us feeling unfulfilled and dissatisfied due to a lack of balance in our lives and the synergy that comes from addressing the whole spectrum of performance and achieving our true potential.
As a result, my current approach to coaching has evolved into one that is multi-faceted, integrated, and holistic. It is for these reasons that I have developed programs that address the inner landscape along with the physical aspects of the people I work with. The result has been a synergistic effect that helps my clients achieve awareness, personal growth and performance unattainable by focusing on the physical alone. By addressing the whole person and all of the factors that affect them on a daily basis, I am better able to be of true help to those I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with, which is my ultimate goal as a coach. By helping each person better define their goals and determine what they really want to achieve, identify their road blocks to success and create strategies to over come them, they are able to break through limiting beliefs and patterns of behavior to an optimal level of functioning and performance. This is facilitated by combining a high level of interaction, communication, introspection, accountability and encouragement with the most up to date advances in science and technology.
